You may be eligible if you:

  • Have a business idea, invention, creative project, or personal rebuilding goal that requires financial support

  • Are facing financial strain due to circumstances such as disability, trauma, surviving crime or domestic abuse, caring for a sick family member, parents of children with special needs, if you're navigating a major medical diagnosis, or other life events that make progress difficult

  • If you are a Veteran or active-duty military

  • Are committed to using the award to create momentum toward a goal that will improve your life or stability

  • At this time, the Breaking Barriers Grant is open to U.S. residents only.

This grant is intentionally broad because hardship looks different for everyone. We trust applicants to apply only if they genuinely meet the spirit of the program. The Breaking Barriers Grant is built on dignity and honesty, and we ask that applicants respect that trust so the opportunity can reach those who truly need it.

There is no requirement to publicly share your identity or personal story if you are selected. Privacy and anonymity are core values of this program, and winners choose how much or how little is made public when the award announcement is made.
